Musicians often praise the modern city. And for cover designers too, the urban jungle has always been one vast well of inspiration. Air, The Jam, Led Zeppelin, Nas, Pink Floyd, The Streets, Wilco and Yes have released iconic covers on which cities and buildings play a prominent role. All are on display in the exhibition alongside a host of surprising discoveries, from Arctic Monkeys to Joop Walvis, from Abracadabra to Youth Avoiders.

The exhibition at OMI will also include the presentation of the book ‘SONIC Architecture’ by Paul Groenendijk. The book offers an extensive overview of the finest, strangest and most remarkable architecture covers.
