The Stairwell: a house-within-a-house

During the Day and Night of Architecture, step into a truly unique stairwell: a monumental space that spans the full height of the home. Residents — artist Koen Taselaar and graphic designer Simone Trum — collaborated with architect Tomas Dirrix to give their newly built house a highly personal touch. The result is a house-within-a-house: an in-between space with a distinct character. Here, it’s not the living room or dining area that takes center stage, but rather the 13-meter-high patio with a skylight at its peak.
