Van Nelle: Tearoom Musicographics
This year, the Van Nelle Factory celebrates 10 years as a UNESCO World Heritage site. In the evening, you have the unique possibility to visit the tearoom with panoramic views of the skyline. After a tour of the revolutionary factory complex, you finish with a musical surprise. At the highest point of the Van Nelle Factory, composer and architect Murat Ali Cengiz performs a composition inspired by the building’s unique architecture. In 1931, architects Brinkman and Van der Vlugt designed this iconic complex. With its gigantic glass facade, it created a furore as Europe’s first daylight factory.
Musicographics is a project by composer and architect Murat Ali Cengiz. Musicians Prashant Samlal (guitar) and Daniel Clason (trumpet) will perform this music piece live.
