Meet the Artist: Red Yellow Orange Blues / continuous

Especially for the Day and Night of Architecture, artist Marieke van der Lippe shows an enchanting video installation. You are surrounded by moving color surfaces and a soundscape. The images are an abstract representation of sunsets by the sea that Van der Lippe filmed over seven years. Underground, on the site where The Modernist will soon be built, the installation offers a unique spatial experience.

Van der Lippe’s montage has a cinemascope widescreen format, which is projected into space, as one large image. In the soundscape “Four Harmonic Feeds” by Radboud Mens, the frequency layers slide over each other.
